Even at temperatures well below freezing, the Equi-Safe® horse fence will not shatter, crack, or splinter. In order to test this, many clients have put our sample in the freezer over-night then taken it out and hit it with a hammer with no harm to the fence. Go ahead, try it! The material contains properties similar to an ice cube tray and therefore ice will not stick to the surface. The posts resist heaving due to the self-lubricating, nonporous, hollow nature of the material. Our equine fencing is also completely UV stable and fade resistant to the harsh effects of heat and direct sunlight.
